Untapped is Five! & #GivingTuesday
November 27th is not only Untapped's 5th birthday, it is also #GivingTuesday🎁! In honor of receiving our nonprofit status five years ago, we will be going to FIVE different schools around the state to teach workshops that will impact over 300 children in Arkansas! We are asking you to join in our efforts and support Untapped with a monetary gift that will directly impact the kids we are so fortunate to work with. With so many workshops happening around the state, we are in need of more shoes! Your gift will help us reach more schools and students to spread the joy of dance all across Arkansas!

Untapped Announces New Show
Don't miss the premiere of a brand new original show from Arkansas' only professional tap dance company!
Rhythmic Roots is a percussive symphony of tap dance combined with the playing of unconventional instruments such as buckets, crates, and more. Audiences will experience the diverse background and percussive music of tap dance, as well as the other percussive dance styles that influenced its creation.
Ticket sales and additional donations help fund the arts education programming and tap dance workshops that Untapped provides for local schools and community organizations. National Tap Dance Day
National Tap Dance Day is May 25th, and South On Main is celebrating with a special TAPPY HOUR from 5-7pm featuring drink specials and performances by Arkansas' only professional tap dance company! Come eat, drink, and enjoy performances by Untapped and The Untapped Youth Ensemble in honor of National Tap Dance Day! A portion of each draft beer purchase will benefit Untapped!

Untapped is excited to join the global movement and inspire people to give.Donations of any size help us bring the art of tap dance to our community by providing free workshops for local schools and producing original productions. Our in-school and community work exemplify who we are as an organization, as one of our primary goals is to offer a free dance class experience to children who would not otherwise have the opportunity. The more funding we receive, the more arts programming we will be able to provide for the community to further spread awareness, appreciation, and love for the art of tap dance.

Now Accepting Audition Submissions for our 2018 Season
Untapped is seeking male and female tap dancers to join our professional tap dance company for our 2018 season. Untapped company members perform statewide for events, fundraisers, and our own annual productions and events. Our company members are also involved in our nonprofit work in the state, teaching workshops in schools, community centers, other nonprofit programs, and more. Dancers must be trained at an advanced level of any style of tap dance. Teaching experience is also recommended. Weekly rehearsals for shows and performances are currently held at Shuffles & Ballet II in Little Rock, and in some cases, dancers from outside of Little Rock may participate in rehearsals via video chat. All performances, rehearsals, and workshops taught are paid.
Untapped will be accepting video auditions beginning October 23rd. If you are interested in becoming a part of the state's only tap dance company, submit your video along with a headshot, resume or bio, and completed audition form to info@untappedlittlerock.org. Deadline to submit is December 1st. Dancers receiving live callbacks will be notified within two weeks of submission deadline.

Untapped Youth Ensemble Showcase on #GivingTuesday
We are thrilled to announce that our very first Untapped Youth Ensemble Showcase will be performed this Giving Tuesday, November 28th! We are so excited to be partnering with Arkansas' regional Innovation Hub, located in the heart of Argenta's Arts District, to hold this performance. The showcase will feature performances by Untapped's Youth Ensemble and Professional Company. Tickets to this event are FREE of charge, but we encourage our audience to support Untapped and our Youth Ensemble program through donations in honor of Giving Tuesday. Donations of all sizes help us provide more free programming and further enrich Arkansas' arts and dance community.
The Untapped Youth Ensemble is a free program for dancers ages 10-17. These dancers have the opportunity to attend weekly master classes taught by Untapped Company Members, participate and perform in Untapped events, and even assist in our community workshops. The Youth Ensemble program is completely open and free to all students of any background and level of dance experience.

Untapped Youth Ensemble 2016-2017 Season
ATTENTION TAP DANCERS AGES 10-17!
Does your child have a passion for the art of tap dancing and a desire to share it through professional performances? The Untapped Youth Ensemble is a free program for dancers ages 10-17. Youth Ensemble dancers have the opportunity to attend free weekly master classes with the Untapped Professional Company Members, participate and perform in Untapped events, and assist in our workshops. The weekly program is completely open and free to all dancers of any age, background, and level of experience. The 2016-2017 season of the Youth Ensemble program will begin October 6th.
Youth Ensemble Master Classes and Rehearsals for performances will be held on Thursday nights 6-7pm at Shuffles & Ballet II in Little Rock.

Join Arkansas' only professional tap dance company as they take you back in time to relive the work of the biggest legends in dance history. The show will feature reenactments and tributes to iconic tap routines from film and television, all set to electrifying live music. In this reprise of last summer's "Legends of Rhythm", Untapped will feature new artists and routines, and a few audience favorites from the original show. "Legends of Rhythm 2" will feature a second act of completely original routines of Untapped's own modern style set to some of today's top hits, and a special tribute to Arkansas' own "legend of rhythm", the late Mr. Joel Ruminer. From Old Hollywood, to the New Millennium, Legends of Rhythm 2 will entertain dance-lovers of all ages!

FREE Live Show for ArkansasGives Day
Untapped is excited to be participating in Arkansas Gives Day for the first time this year!
When our supporters make a donation through ArkansasGives.org on April 7, 2016, between 8am and 8pm, Untapped will receive additional bonus dollars from a bonus pool generously provided by the Arkansas Community Foundation. The more money our supporters donate on ArkansasGives Day, the more bonus dollars Untapped will receive! We are joining dozens of other nonprofits around Arkansas to make April 7th a celebration of giving.

Open Audition for Untapped Professional Company
Our open audition date for the Untapped Professional Company has changed. Auditions will now be held Friday, January 15th, 2016, at 6:30pm at Shuffles & Ballet II in Little Rock. You must be 18 years or older, or a graduating senior in high school, to audition. Auditions will include multiple brief technique exercises, a combination, and a private interview with Untapped company members. Nothing needs to be prepared in advance, and attire is open.
